The Profile
The Gene Keys Hologenetic Profile encompasses aspects of the Chinese I Ching, Human Design, Astrology, Epigenetics and Quantum Physics. It includes a large outer circle (the I Ching aspect), as well as 11 spheres configured into a pattern within the middle.
Each of the spheres will have a number on it, along with a set of three words next to it. The sphere number is the actual Gene Key number (there are 64 total in the system and each of us have 11 expressed in the profile). And the three words represent the frequency levels of that particular Gene Key, ranging from lowest (Shadow), middle (Gift), and highest (Siddhi).
The 11 spheres are broken up into three different sequences – The Activation Sequence, The Venus Sequence, and The Pearl Sequence. These three sequences allow you to shine light on the areas of your life where you experience success, where you may be blocked or stagnant, where you align to authentic and open-hearted relationships, and the pathway to receiving prosperity in this lifetime.
The Sequences
The Activation Sequence (green spheres) is your four Prime Gifts. These four gene keys will show you who you’re here to be what your purpose is and any blindspots you may experience It also highlights your most radiant health and wellbeing.
The Venus Sequence (red spheres) is your relationship path. These gene keys help us move away from victimhood and towards open-hearted and the most aligned relationships with self and others. This is
one of the deepest ways to truly uncover and work through your own shadows in order to reconnect back to your own self-love and love of others.
And The Pearl Sequence (blue spheres), is your pathway to receiving abundance. These gene keys highlight the ways in which you can align to your most authentic career path and be truly prosperous in this lifetime.It’s all about unlocking your higher purpose.
The Profile is a roadmap and is meant to flow in a particular order, starting with the Activation Sequence or your four Prime Gifts. However, I always advise clients and friends to use their heart and intuition to guide them to where they feel called to begin. The beauty of the Gene Keys system is that it is one of self-illumination and self-discovery, so you may choose the journey that works best for you.

I was finally tired of living my life for everyone else. I was mentally and emotionally exhausted from being the “good girl. ” I realized that I had put everyone else’s needs ahead of my own . And in that process¨ I lost who I was . I dimmed my inner spark¨ didn’t recognize myself in the mirror¨ and was just going through the motions of life.

Where am I from?
Who am I?
Where am I going?
These are the fundamental questions man asks himself with respect to the cosmos. These are all separation questions. Indeed, in the ordinary waking consciousness in which man lives, he poses himself in relation to Nature and the Cosmos, and yet we know that man is the only being who lives halfway, having both a body that belongs to Nature and a spirit that belongs to the Cosmos. Man with his I feels alone in the inner space of his soul. In truth man is never alone! He must be able to find the key to see reality as it is and not as he believes it to be at the mercy of doubt, separation and fear. It is love that moves us in the metamorphosis: love for ourselves and for our neighbor, for events and things, for man and Nature.
Love has many forms, most of them linked to individual destiny (karma). But when love is conjugated to freedom, that is, to the consciousness of the archetype within action, it succeeds in overcoming the bond of destiny, fulfilling it fully. Thus one passes from love of the body to love of the soul and finally to love of the spirit. The more evolved the soul is, the more it will be able to experience a selfless love that comes close to the Spirit. Spiritual evolution is therefore a relationship of love with the archetypes that live through our biographical events.
The descent of the soul
According to the vision of Anthroposophy, the soul descends from cosmic spaces to incarnate on Earth.
Once in its physical vehicle it expresses itself as a visible image directly in the body and in the way it is used in the path of life. The expression of the soul occurs with the three powers:
- Thinking through the Head;
- Feeling through the Heart;
- Willing through the Hands with which to do, the Feet with which to go.
Originally these three powers are in perfect harmony with each other, having not yet been touched by the events of life. The family is the first nucleus that guarantees protection and allows the development
of one’s abilities during childhood. The soul thus incarnates itself by choosing the conditions necessary for its future evolution on Earth, however harsh they may be. Then in adolescence the first detachment takes place, the young soul really meets the world outside the family, friends and love for the first time. The soul thus finds itself surrounded by souls incarnated in the same generation, the peers, with the same archetypal forces acting in time and space. When the soul has woven intense relationships with its peers, at the same time weaves its future potential, it reaches the age of 21 when its spiritual self becomes incarnated and fully becomes an individual. From that moment the adult life begins and with it, the battle with its shadows.
Relationship between Soul and I
Anthroposophy helps us to understand the relationship between the I and soul, which is fundamental in the practice of Anthroposophical Counseling and Biography Study. Only we ourselves can call ourselves “I”∫ the first person can only be used in reference to us as subjects¨ never for another. This is the first clue of the transcendence of the I with respect to the human soul and life. In fact, when the human I touches the soul at the fateful turning 21, the soul itself undergoes a profound transmutation that involves its entire being and its relationship with the subtle bodies that belong to Nature.
- When the I incarnate and works on the power of Feeling, the soul is transmuted into the Sentient Soul, which feels the beautiful and the ugly;
- When the I incarnate and works on the power of Thinking, the Soul is transmuted into the Rational Soul, which thinks true and false;
- When the I incarnate and works on the power Willing, the soul is transmuted into the Conscious Soul, which wants right and wrong.
Thus¨ the “I” is the watershed both in the individual biography of the older person and in the soul itself, which is alchemically transmuted. The clash with adult life is the clash with dualism, the double face that everything assumes on the mental, animic and physical plane. The three powers of the soul take on an independent character, being touched for the first time by dualism: either they find new relations of harmony among themselves, or else they begin an internal struggle. Opposition couples, beautiful-bad, true-false, righteous-wrong, must be brought back to their transcendent origin, the I, which is also the only one capable of finding a meaning in each of them and a meaning in the development of the soul through biography. Thus arises the need for mediation of the soul between the body that belongs to Nature and the Spirit that belongs to the Cosmos.
The battle of the soul
The human soul struggles every day to break down the separation it feels towards Nature and the Cosmos. The goal to be achieved is the spirit of Cosmos, in which it recognizes itself and its mission on Earth. In this battle it employs its three powers: as the soul approaches adulthood in the I, many of its
potentials are lost. Here arises on the one hand the sense of separation from Nature, with the perception of one’s own body as an envelope inhabited by the spirit and on the other hand the sense of separation from the Cosmos, as a spirit who is definitively incarnated for the first time. To recognize oneself as an inhabitant of this Earth, even though one does not belong to it, can be upsetting, to such an extent that the three powers of the soul can react by becoming the inverse of what they originally are:
- Thinking becomes Doubt: when thoughts are no longer guided by concentration and attention, they live their own life without the possibility of dominating them, leading to the absolute relativism for which one thought is worth the other. The rational soul thus loses the ability to rationally discern the true from the false in its evolution towards self-consciousness.
- Feeling becomes Separation: when feelings no longer adhere to experiences, one no longer knows what to feel. Thus one tries to intensify the life of feeling by letting oneself be dragged either by unbridled passions, ending up falling into attachment or by the fascination of what is cold and abstract. The sentient soul thus loses the ability to lovingly understand the beautiful compared to the ugly in its evolution towards self-consciousness.
- Willing becomes Fear: when thinking and feeling are no longer in balance, the will is exercised in a reckless way, until the inability to choose. The conscious soul thus loses the ability to intuitively recognize right from wrong in its evolution towards self-consciousness.
The three powers of the soul must resonate in harmony, otherwise they separate from each other, acting independently first and then against each other. When they collide with each other they fall prey to separation, to attachment, and thus the soul becomes a prisoner of dualism. At that point the I freezes in its evolution, no longer recognizes the forces acting in the biography and instead of governing them, it becomes its hostage.
Love and Karma
Karmic ties work much more broadly than blood ties (of family members). All the people we know in life and with whom we create a spiritual experience may be our family members in the future, or already have been in the past. Without exception, whether they evoke positive or negative feelings in us. The spirit, the ego, is not limited in its genesis to the bloodline, but rather uses it to evolve. He who is our dearest friend today may be our brother in the next incarnation. There is also a way, very simple but precious, to know if someone has been close to us in a previous incarnation: when one meets such souls one experiences the well-known feeling of having “known that person long ago¨ as if he had always been close”.
When you make projects together, of course, a strong karmic bond is created: the project is in fact a pure product of the I.
The projects are the markers that the I places on the map of time and space, they are the stages of its evolution and if they are interrupted, they will certainly be resumed, in one way or another in future incarnations, even in the most unpredictable ways. An evolutionary project, in fact, is never wasted: it
can metamorphose into something else, but it lasts in the etheric and astral world, and then incarnates at the right moment. This preservation of the evolutionary impulse is due to the spiritual economy that preserves evolutionary intentions outside of space-time, and then materializes them at the appropriate time spiritually.

Spiritual evolution is therefore a loving relationship with the archetypes that live through our biographical events.
It is absolutely true that if it is not spiritualized love between human being and human being, if it is not spiritualized love, it is not really love as such, but it is the image that we make of it, and generally it is nothing more than a terrible illusion; in normal life love is very rarely spiritualized, and now I am not talking about sexual love or love based on sexuality, but about love in general between human being and human being.

I share here a chapter from the book Kabbalah and Anthroposophy that exemplifies how the agreement between Hermetic Kabbalah and Anthroposophy can be expressed.
What is the Kabbalah Tree of Life?
The Tree of Life is the primary mystical symbol of Kabbalah. It is the structure of the 10 Sefirot (or Sephirot), arranged in 3 pillars. Each Sefirah (singular for Sefirot) can be described as a type of spiritual light, and as the revelation of an aspect of the Creator. The Sephirot contain the governmental laws for all creation, meaning that everything that was, is, and will be, comes forth through them1. The Kabbalah Tree of Life has been called ‘an archetype scheme which is the divine model for the Universe and for Man’2.
The Tree of Life of the 10 Sephirot stretches from the Divine nature of the Creator (referred to as Eyn Sof, אין סוף without end), which is above or beyond the Sefirot, and physical existence, which is below the Sephirot and comes forth from them.
The Sephirot
Definition: The 10 Sephirot can be considered in a way as spiritual lights and as as revealed aspects of God, containing spiritual laws which govern and bring forth all of Creation. They link what is above them
– the infinite and ungraspable nature of the Creator – with what is below them, the finite physical creation.
- Mental World (Devachan, Higher and Lower) – Briah, Creative World;
- Astral World– Yetzirah, Formative World;
- Physical-Etheric World– Assiah, World of Action;
- Eighth Sphere– Qliphoth, Tree of Death.

Human Design
WHAT IS THE HUMAN DESIGN SYSTEM?
The Human Design System is a synthesis of ancient and modern sciences, and has proven to be a valuable tool for human understanding.
With Human Design you discover what makes you different from everyone else. It offers profound insights into your psychology, along with strategies and techniques for making correct decisions and ultimately leading to a life of more ease and fulfillment.
It is not built on belief or faith but is a logical, empirical system that offers you the opportunity to experiment with its mechanics and find out if it works for you.
Once you start experimenting with the knowledge, you may experience changes in your perspective. Over time, this helps you learn what brings fulfillment. Everyone has a Signature — peace, satisfaction, success or surprise—that comes when they are living in accordance with their true nature. A lessening of resistance in the form of anger, frustration, bitterness or disappointment is the end result.
HOW DOES THE HUMAN DESIGN SYSTEM WORK?
In order to understand how the system works, it is important to become familiar with the fundamental concept that forms the foundation of this system.
A fundamental aspect of Human Design is based on what is scientifically known as the Neutrino.
Neutrinos are unusual particles that carry an infinitesimal amount of mass. About 3 trillion neutrinos, and the material information they carry, pass through every square inch of the planet per second. Our Sun produces about 70 percent of all neutrinos that travel through our solar system, with the remaining 30 percent emitted by other stars in our Galaxy, and a small amount from the planet Jupiter.
In 2015, the scientists Takaaki Kajita (Super-Kamiokande Collaboration) and Arthur B. McDonald
(Sudbury Neutrino Observatory Collaboration) were awarded a Nobel Prize for the discovery of neutrino oscillations, which shows that neutrinos have mass. Ra Uru Hu published this as the science behind the Human Design System as early as 1991.
Human Design uses your birth data to calculate your Human Design Chart, or BodyGraph. The BodyGraph is a graphic illustration of the energetic flow within your system, a blueprint for how you operate and interact with the world.
Your BodyGraph shows your Definition—anything colored in—and your openness—anything left white. Definition reveals who you are, and remains consistent throughout your life. Your openness is where you are susceptible to conditioning, and can result in what Human Design calls the Not-Self.
Understanding your chart provides you with simple tools, starting with the essential strategy of your Type and Authority. Your chart shows which of the four Types you are, and combined with your personal Authority, determines the strategy for making the right decisions.
Once you begin to grasp the information within your own Human Design you come to realize the power of your mind, and how heavily your decisions have been influenced by your conditioning.
PERSONALITY VS. DESIGN
There are two calculations used to generate your Human Design Chart: Personality (Black column in the Human Design Chart)
Your actual time of birth is used to calculate your Personality chart. To the right of your BodyGraph, you can see numbers in black next to symbols of the planets. These calculations describe characteristics attributed to your Personality. These characteristics are ones that you will recognize, as they are what you have conscious access to and therefore, can relate to. Because you consciously identify with these characteristics, you think of your personality as representation of who you are.
Design (Red column in the Human Design Chart)
Penned is your genetic imprint, the definition in your Human Design chart: Everything you see colored in, in your BodyGraph. Definition is what is fixed and reliable within you, and determines how you express your particular traits and skills. That part of you written in pencil? That is conditioning. It can seem hard to erase the layers and layers of deeply grooved lines carved into the paper, and it is not always possible. Through Human Design, you come to see the beauty of the whole picture, as it is, and that there is nothing to do but be the perfection of you. Any area in the BodyGraph that is white, not colored in, is not fixed or reliable within you—it is open. Openness represents the places where you are designed to be receptive to life. Your openness is highly interesting to your busy mind and can be sensitive due to conditioning. Your mind develops adaptive strategies here that can lead you away from your true nature—when you make decisions from the openness

THE NINE CENTERS
In Human Design, “Centers” are what we call the geometric shapes located inside the BodyGraph. Centers are focal points, or hubs, that receive and transform the energy, or life force, that circulates throughout the BodyGraph.
Each of the nine Centers of the Bodygraph has its own distinct biological correlation, i.e. the Splenic Center is connected to the lymphatic system, and the Root Center to the Adrenal Glands.
Each Center has a specific function, and there are signposts of how they function correctly, and influence behavior when operating incorrectly.
Centers can be Defined (colored in) or Open (white). The way Centers are Defined and connected to each other determines your Type, Authority, and more.
An open Center in your BodyGraph is one of the primary receptors of conditioning—or outside influences taken into your physical being. This receptor impacts your mind’s decision-making process and creates what the Human Design System calls the Not-Self. The Not-Self leads you to make decisions based on strategies derived from conditioning rather than your true self.
Conditioning is a fact of life you cannot avoid nor would you want to. Ignorance is the only detriment here. If you are unaware of how you are deeply conditioned through your open Centers, it can overwhelm you and compromise your capacity to experience your true potential. However, when you are operating correctly, and your mind is no longer making life decisions, open Centers can be an incredible source of wisdom developed over time. Understanding your conditioning and how it impacts your mental, emotional and physical being is the first step to leading a life as yourself.
GATES & HEXAGRAMS
Within each Center there are Gates. Gates can be seen as entry and exit points that establish the flow of communication between Centers. A Gate that is activated by a Planet (colored in) describes a consistent theme or role in your life.
THE PLANETS
Human Design explains the impact of the planets on our nature, because neutrinos carry the information from the planets to us. Stars in distant reaches of space are constantly beaming neutrinos everywhere, and they pass through the planets to imprint our bodies. The continual movement of the Sun and the planets means that the neutrino information passing through us at the moment of birth is always unique, and will never again be repeated.
As mentioned in the Personality vs Design segment, there are two imprints that create your Human Design Chart: time of birth, and 88º of the Sun (approx. 90 days) prior to birth. At these two moments in time, the positions of the planets in our solar system codify the neutrino information in very specific ways as it streams through our bodies.
The planets can be referred to as our local programming agents. This is why down the ages, we have always described them as ‘gods’ in our mythologies. Every planet, depending where it is in your design, lends its flavor to your nature, at both conscious and unconscious levels.
THE FOUR TYPES – STRATEGY & AURA
Humanity mechanically is divided into four Types:
Projectors are around 20% of the population. Their strategy is to wait for the Invitation to find success and avoid bitterness. They have a focused and absorbing aura, and need to learn about and understand the other
Manifestors are about nine percent of the population. Their strategy is to inform before they act to find peace and avoid anger. They have a closed and repelling aura, and are here to understand their impact on others.
Reflectors are without definition and are just over one percent of the population. Their strategy is to wait a full cycle of the moon before making decisions to find clarity, leading to a life of more surprise and less disappointment. They have a resistant and sampling aura, and are learning to reflect rather than identify.
INNER & OUTER AUTHORITY
To truly begin your Human Design experiment, you will need to know your Authority. Combined with your Type this becomes your Strategy & Authority, the bedrock of personal development through Human Design and ultimately the only information you will need to make correct decisions in your life.
Authority is a tool for you to know if something is right for you, or not. Separated into two kinds of Authority—Inner and Outer—below, are overviews of each.
Inner Authority The inner intelligence that enables us to know whether a decision is correct for us or not is called Inner Authority. It is as though each of our bodies possesses an inner compass or device that reveals whether something is a healthy and fulfilling use of our energy, or not. Our Inner Authority is a body-based knowing that precedes the cognition of the mind, and thus accessing it requires us to become more embodied and to listen better to our bodies.
As we do so, we move into a state where we more often experience the “Signature” that results from the correct use of our energy, be it satisfaction, success, peace, or surprise. Outer Authority What we call Outer Authority in Human Design is the ability to provide your authentic perspective. This perspective is derived from your particular design, as an expression of your uniqueness.
We as nine-centered human beings are designed to commune with others and share our unique perspectives about life, truth, and everything in between. We can be of the highest possible service to others when we communicate our insights, ideas and opinions at the right moment. It may be in response, or when invited to share. Using your mind in this way, it becomes a resource for others
DEFINITIONS
Definition is what is consistent and reliable within us; it is what creates our Type and determines our Strategy and Authority. Definition in the BodyGraph shows us a schematic of the way energy flows within us. It also determines how we operate, how we interact with and what we look for in others.
A crucial aspect of how we relate to and connect with others is that some of us look for close, tribal connections in order to bond, while others function more independently. There is a broad spectrum of ways we inter-connect, depending on the particular configuration of our Human Design BodyGraph.
There are four* different kinds of Definition:
- Single: a continuous connection
- Split definition: two areas of definition separate from each other
- Triple split definition: three separated areas
- And rarely, Quadruple split definitions: four separate areas
- Very rarely, there is no definition*
PROFILE & ANGLE Profile is another basic component of Human Design. It adds further nuances to Design, diving deeper into what truly differentiates us. While you share certain characteristics with others, for example, those with the same Type and Authority, a different Profile takes you on very different paths. It can be seen as a costume we wear while learning to play specific roles. These roles enrich our experience of life, as we engage with and impact others through our particular part. Altogether there are 12 Profiles, with six primary roles representing basic themes in combination with each other.
Profile is derived from the positions of the Sun and Earth in both columns of the chart. On the Personality side, this is something you are going to resonate with (calculations in black on the right side of your BodyGraph). Here you find themes, attributes and behaviors you will recognize, and identify with.
On the Design side, (red on the left side of your BodyGraph) the line values of the Sun and Earth account for the second number in your Profile. This represents your unconscious behaviors, attributes and needs.
Both of the numbers in your Profile combined represent key aspects of you. A main part of understanding our purpose is coming to terms with the roles we play.
INCARNATION CROSS
Everyone has a very specific frequency that can be mapped out in your Human Design Chart. The calculation of your Personality and Design Suns/Earths represents seventy percent of the imprinted and consistent energy of your being. This is where we find your Incarnation Cross.
The Incarnation Cross, in combination with the Profile, is what ultimately defines our purpose on Earth. There are 192 basic Incarnation Crosses in the Human Design System, each derived from a combination of the themes of our Sun and Earth positions. Together, they form the whole of our human experience.
Your Incarnation Cross is something that will slowly emerge over time as you live in unison with your individualized nature, and culminates in the full expression of your potential. It usually comes into play around the Uranus opposition, age 38-42, when you have planted a solid foundation and have a clear direction. It is in that sense the essence of your purpose through which you can leave your mark on the world.
